Me playing a lick I love from the Pat Metheny song "Here To Stay" I play it at normal speed and then slow it down without the backing track afterwards. The song is from the album "We Live Here."

  • @moondog50002000 Thanks for the comment. check out my other vids to see the pinky in action.

  • @simpo03 it looks useless anyway the way it hangs there not even ready . some dexterity exercises would only improve your playing... much respect...nice playing...

  • @simpo03 I'm with you on this. If you watch clips of great jazz players, you don't see them using their pinky very often for single line playing. Most of them use their first three fingers and the pinky only when necessary. Then, of course, there's Django…

  • Simpo, great playing! However your lick is not 100% correct, I slowed song down and some notes are not the same to my ear. I'll try to record it and post a reply as soon as I transribe it all. No offence - your video helped me a lot, it's all matter of us learning from each other, isn't it? And I use my pinky a bit:P

  • @simpo03 your up 12th fretish area so I agree no pinky needed here

  • I am covering this song, and that lick is especially difficult to play because you play that alone.

  • Hi Simpo!

  • Really nice playing and exploration of that superb solo. Did you get the rest as well? I'd love to see all of it.

  • I have the same guitar!

  • ma se lo deve cmq cambiare il cervello..

perchè lo dovrebbe lavare quello vecchio..?

    ;-)
