3rd platoon in Asadabad, Afghanistan. I dont know why but this video freezes up some in the 2nd half

@MarineInfantry00...I was G 2/8 from 02 to 04, right after Afganistan I left for recruiting. I was once " 3rd plt" in Asadabad.

Look, we're both right; it was (can be perceived) an empire, but it wasn't occupied territory in the sense it was (centrally) governed or knew any sort of common denominator, besides its remaining inhabitants having gotten their asses kicked by Djengis and friends.
One can claim Mongols weren't able to govern, one can claim they were smart not to try.
Back to the point; what are you guys going to do about Afghanistan?

Mongols: Nomadic warrior tribe under rule of a Khan (emperor-ish).
Take notice of the word 'nomadic'.
The Mongols never built any solid fortifications and out of fear of being occupied by peoples that did settle and thus would be able to conquer step by step the Mongols' lands, they ventured out far as they dared on preemptive strikes to reduce enemy numbers and instill fear.
