  • very very nice song i love it to much

  • This is a great song, the lyrics are very touching!

  • I know this song mainly because some cantopop singer named Chelsia Chan did a cover version in the mid to late 1970s. For some reason the song pop up in my head a little while ago and I did a search to see who sang it originally. Never guess it would be Paul Anka.

  • I never heard this song in more than 30 years. It takes me back to my early years and childhood friends...most are still friends. Today, i feel like a lonely soldier on foreign shores. Thanks for the upload! Thanks 'forestgrl 'for the lyrics.

  • I have the album but I want it on CD!!!

  • forestgirl43, and now the rest:

Deeper than the eye can see

    Another man’s philosophy

While he lives the price they give is small

When he dies and on that day

The sky’s as high the price they pay

While he lives the price they give is small

While he lives the price they give is small

  • forestgirl43, here are the lyrics: The painter paints away the day As he paints his life away Will he rise in judgement's eyes or fall What a humble life he lives He never sees the price they give Another part of his soul upon the wall Like a lonely soldier faces Foreign shores of empty spaces Such is he who strokes to free his soul Isolation steeped in sadness Mellowed by the fears of madness There he stands as he commands control
  • Does anyone have the lyrics to this song? So I can sing to it :-)

  • such a beautiful song

  • thanks so much for posting this. The quality is fantastic. I grew up listening to Paul Anka because my Dad loved him. Now, so do I!!!

    Thanks again.
