Regardless, I'll say it over and over, being the daughter of a navy vet and the wife of a marine vet, the military is not what it once was and makes promises to recruits that will never be kept. It's all about power and politics and generally speaking military families are on the short end of that stick. Life sucked for our family. I never saw my dad and when I did he was never happy. Working in a shop, though, where your superior is never there I believe is the exception. This lieutenant was gone for 6 months. When he came back he got honored for something he had no part in. The marines that found HIS fuck up got nothing. Add that to this prick being 19 and an officer straight out of school and you get a big ass load of bullshit! Lol

not to mention it looks a lil warm and those uniforms arent exactly light and cool....and 123wazzzza, mostly I agree but you dont understand about command & accountability. The superior officer is accountable for EVERYTHING, good & BAD. We as enlisted may do the bulk of the grunt work but we do it under his supervision and training. If he sux then we, more than likely, will suck. If hes outstanding as a leader, then we, will stand out.Not a perfect system, its what we have,4 most part it works

Respect soldiers? Yes completely! Respect the military and our government? No not at all! Our government abuses our soldiers, gives your superior officer an award for your achievements because it's "his" shop, keeps the single guy in the states and sends the married man overseas! They dump the vets on their asses like trash after the valiantly serve. Fuck the military!!! God bless American soldiers!!!

Tired? If anyone thinks that would make a US Marine tired they've never heard of basic training. Rolling Thunder was there so show support & pay respect. There was atleast one that I know of who stopped & saluted back, marking him as an ex Marine. He was not tired, but moved to tears at the pure, heart felt love of fellow Americans!!
