@BuffaloWings99 My comment was specific towards European Colonist not Europeans in general. No where in my statement did I mention anyones skin color, but I do apoloize if you took offense to it. The comment wasnt general but specific to Colonist and not Descends of Slaves and the like. I dont have issues with European but the Colonist who inhabited the land and are destroying it. Just as a Hawaii has the right to express how they feel about Invaders stealing their Land so do I.

Independent but reliant on the might of what government? Being a recognized country hasn't helped very many others lately. People of so many countries are suffering and human rights are suppressed so for all it's faults, being American has granted Hawaiians the freedom to EXPRESS where many other countries wouldn't. It's nice to think we would be rich if the monies from ceded lands were in the hands of our ali'i but just as Kalakaua depleted the monarchies coffers, so will the next group.
