That material in the UK is called TWEED and is usually used on office furniture, you can also use HESSIAN fabric to cover your panels ...

Will any type of fabric work or does polyester have better acoustical properties?

yeah i definitely used spray glue, the next morning, every single panel had come undone, so watch out anyone using spray glue. was a complete waste and setback for me.

The majority of our Sound Panels are made from 1" Thick High Density Fiberglass. They can also be made with 1 1/2" and 2" thickness.

Thanks for Replying, Is that material burlap, and when you are ironing the front did you spray adhesive on the fabric?

That material is made form recycled soda bottles and is a polyester. we did not use the spray with the bulk of the laminating, only to help the 2" overhanf when wrapping. We are working on getting a spec sheet on our website, please visit it for more info.
