This is a VERY RARE radio recording from the legendary bass/drum instrumental. It was recorded in 1982 from a radio station program called 'Funkytown' broadcasted by the BRT (Belgian Radio and Televion). Rick James was also in the onions... This instrumental is now performed regularly by 'Les Claypool' (Primus). But nothing ever beats the original by the REAL REDDINGS!!!

  • Holy Smokes...This is how you play bass. As far as i'm concerned the Reddings is the best disco/fuck band ever. It's a crying shame they haven't released all their songs on a CD collection yet. Thank you Reddings, for teaching me music. I understand now.

  • saying this piece of music is beyond claypool's ability is flat out ignorant

  • @mahfuzhaufar I stand by my comment. I have studied bassists from Monk Montgomery onwards. To give you some perspective, I was old enough to buy The Reddings album in 1980 while you were probably still a speck in the universe.

  • @rainstormwind wonder if you can do better than Les....I am waiting for your rendition of the song....

  • classic........couldn't be better

  • @grooveskin Look Young One Leave It Alone I'm Thru With This

  • @grooveskin well just saying les claypool did NOT rip this off, if u read the booklet for highball with the devil he givs the reddings credit

  • @AntiChris1996 Who's Fault Is It U Have Not Heard This Song - All These Comments And You Pick Mine- Go Pick Another, I Posted This Aeons Ago!

  • @grooveskin if it werent for les claypool i wouldve never heard this song

  • Les Claypool should never have touched this one. Simply because it's beyond his capabilities.
