This video documents the controversy that is going on in the Native American community over Kiesha Crowther's false statement that she is the shaman of the "Sioux and Salish tribe" and the money she has been making from this false claim.

I am mirroring this video so that non-Indian people can have some understanding as to the pain that pretenders like Kiesha Crowther cause native people.

I want non-Indians to understand that only way to stop the exploitation of indigenous peoples' spirituality is for people to STOP paying ANY money for it. Authentic spiritual leaders would never charge money. Ceremonies are not open to anyone who can pay a price - our spirituality is much too sacred for that.

If you have respect and compassion for the indigenous peoples of this land, then allow us to be the guardians of the spirituality that our ancestors developed. Do not support Kiesha Crowther and others like her who exploit our spiritual practices for profit.

Native people and our true friends, who want to take action, can do several things:

  • She has had this lifestyle all her life for she comes from a family with enough resources to live the good life. Since when this is a sin? Whoever made this video definitely needs some soul search and less jealousy towards the success of others. A real pity

  • She charges people money to pray and misrepresents Native spiritualism by mixing it with "new age", and appointing Herself as a shaman of the Lakota and the Salish! How can a non-native teach natives about their own culture and poison it by bringing in other teachings and still be respected? What more do you need? She is a fraud and she doesn't care! That is the real pity!

  • You're right she's not a fake OMG she's a real live weak minded cultural appropriating whore making money off of a culture that is totally antithetical to the idea of making money while praying for the healing of the greedy bahavior of ALL mankind. There are very few non NdNs that can share the sacred old ways with others and she is not one of them. No she is definitely not a fake she is the real "greedy" deal, hu tchaaa. Ohoyo tohbi nahola chito achukma keyu

  • whitey white white white whiteness of whitey whitey white wasichu wasichu nahola whitey white SUPER white whiteophylia CULTURAL IDENTITY THEFT CULTURAL IDENTITY THEFT, Danger ! Danger Will Robinson Danger! New age trollness. CULTURAL IDENTITY THIEF

  • Don't worry, GOD/ALLAH will take care of her in this life and the hereafter.

Worship/pry to GOD directly. You don't need intermediaries between you and your CREATOR.

  • LOVE...

  • Thanx for informing :-) Surely, it is not only imortant what the message is, but also from whom it comes from - not according to age, gender, sex, nationality or religion, but according to lifestile and humbleness...

  • The money she earns is for mocking someone else's culture. What if people dressed up and painted their faces white and mocked your culture. In fact, I am white and I say go for it. Maybe then people will understand. It's not happening to me so I don't care is that it? Well, guess what some of us do care. And this is wrong. She is wrong and her little grandmother organization is a joke.

  • She claims to have been initiated by Sioux Shaman. That is the first thing. She is hurting people. The indigenous population are not a funny, amusing past time to be used when it suits her needs. It is very easy for us outsiders to not understand. But try looking at it from their point of view. Boarding schools, genocide, eugenics, introduction of alcohol, loss of sacred lands, children adopted out, poverty, unemployment, fetal alcohol syndrome, TB. And now this. Enough is enough.

  • What's wrong with spreading love and kindness? You don't have to live in a tent or a wooden cabin to be part of a group, that's just stereotypical. She makes others happy and always has a positive/energetic nature to her which uplifts others. Who cares if she has money, I bet she spends a lot of it just for traveling and spreading her ideas WHICH you do not have to believe, she isn't forcing it down peoples throats. You can either take in what she says or walk away.

  • I dont believe she is a fake.

  • Yikes! This is BAD! Never Charge a Person to Pray! WOW! A self appointed Shaman! WOW!
