this video explains the method of completing the square note you can use any letters for your constants and also note that we do not solve equations in this video we just find a number to add on too a quadratic to make it a perfect square if you have a quadratic ax^2+bx+c you can write it in the form p(x+q)^2+r where p,q and r are constants
