So have you looked up the video "Tesla's little secret"? Might also be called Tesla's little joke. Basically what I'm asking is have you switched the spark gap and the capacitor to the other side of the circuit and tried using the Tesla coil as an ambient energy collector? Since you already have it made and it seems pretty advanced, you might even be able to power a good bit of things in your house if you pick up on Tesla's little secret :)
