2 people were injured after protests broke out in Bukembe market in Bungoma County pitting supporters of Kanduyi MP Alfred Khang'ati against those of Saboti MP Eugene Wamalwa on New Year's Day. It is reported that Khangati's supporters intended to disrupt a meeting planned by his Saboti counterpart at the market on claims that the area mp had not been informed of the meeting. The police however quelled the early morning chaos and the meeting proceeded as planned.

@suensmith Well said. Kenyans wake up! Let us not kill each because of these fellows. Let us change this culture of senseless violence.

The reality of Kenya's so called 'grassroots' - ignorance galore, which breeds a similar amount of violence...more is the pity for our country!!!....

This is the reality on the ground...kenyans are clueless ignorants and nothing will ever change. As much as intelligent views are spewed over the internet, the grassroots will never change.
