i find that it works better for me if my thumb is between my index and middle fingers. the index and the thumb both push and let go together.

the key is moving the thumb/index the right amounts- the index is a bit further away from the pivot point, so it'll have to move faster than the thumb

This is a point I like to make which isn't always clear from the videos themselves. What I am showing you is the way I do the particular trick or flourish that works best for me. If you do it EXACTLY the same way and it works good then great, but you should feel free to use these videos as a leaping off point to develop your own style. Doing it YOUR way will almost always work out better for you in a subjective art like magic.

This and the fans are probably the most time intensive things I have on here. I probably make it look easy but trust me I spent a LOT of time on this and my other stuff as well. Stuff like this is good to practice while your watching TV or waiting on a bus etc.

i can balance it perfectly, and i can spin it perfectly using my left hand to spin it.

but i just don't understand how to make it spin using my index finger.

how do i do it??

I don't really know what I can say that I didn't cover in the video. This can take some practice before you get it good. It takes some time to get the feel so just keep practicing.

Tip: it's harder to do with dry fingers. If your fingers are dry, just lick your finger really quick and wipe you finger off and it should grip :]

@magicalmaniac77 I was trying this while watching your vid, leaning back in my chair, i finally did it, it span for 5 seconds before i fell back :( i cracked the chair, but it was so cool watching it spin!!!

I get the card to spin like 2-3 times and it stops. Of course, practise makes perfect

I put it on my middle finger of right hand and I had to learn DONT FUCK MOVE WITH MIDDLE FINGER, only thumb leaves the card at at the same time index finger pulls
