io inc ak 47 california legal modified for a friend big 5 sporting goods gun

modded this cali legal ak for a friend. solar tactical mag block, tapco pistol grip. nice gun overall. still have to test it. some issues have been reported with these io inc guns. hopefully this one is solid.
review: the parts and finish on these guns are relly nice , everything is nicely machined and blued. the parts are held together with split roll pins. great solid gun.
the negative:
this company is new to the gun manufacture business. they do not use the side scope mount on this model so you cant really mount a scope in the traditional spot. quality control is not there yet. this thing fired like a dream . only problem it cant be sighted in. the front sight barrel does not fit tightly as its supposed to and the windage moves every time you fire the gun. you can move the sight with your fingers. the sight post also unscrews as you shoot so you couldnt zero it if you tried. sad i hope they get there act together . these guns really have potential.

I just was at the gun show in frisco and at the solar tactical booth I bought the ultimak rail and primary arms red dot scope and it co witnesses with my iron sights.

@ptownpresident - yeah, there are alot of cool accessories for aks now. I think I want to get an another ak down the line but I want it with the romanian wood fore grip on it.

@rubrostro , its just a solar tactical mag lock . you can get them from calegalmags com . it has four screws and clamps on to the trigger guard, and of course you have to use only 10 rd mags.

@coolbuddykermit -the Democrats now control cali. they have also introduced a bill to ban the open carry of unloaded rifles. They almost got a single payer insurance law up for a vote last week , it failed. soon there will be a Democrat supermajority and their great laws will be unstoppable. Still hoping recent rullings on the 2nd Amendment filter down to us behind enemy lines in Komifornia.

@wolf3001 Well the laws suck here, but we can still have an AK variant and AR 15's so it's not as bad as New Jersey and Chicago. Plus we have good weather all year long to have lots and lots of range time. :)
