Ireland votes YES to the Treaty of Lisbon.

The Lisbon Treaty is designed to address contemporary challenges such as the impact of globalisation, the economic crisis, climate change, drug smuggling, trafficking of women and children, energy security, sustainable development, achieving the millennium developments goals, cross-border crime and immigration.

The Treaty restates the Unions fundamental values of democracy, justice, rule of law, respect for human rights, solidarity, sustainability and tolerance.

The treaty will make European Union more effective and it will help to achieve its aims.

THANK YOU IRELAND for your sophisticated decision which will lead to all of our benefit and will serve for all of our interest.

The result couldn't be anything but yes. If they had voted "no" a hundred times they would still be voting. Anything else would require something like democracy in the EU.....

Ireland voted yes after they voted wrong the first time according to the E.U now thats something to be a part of is it not wow thats democracy

As for the type of argument, which you seem to be referring, well, I think telling someone they should be 'executed' and bringing up Hitler, as if it had something to do with the debate, is just, odd.
