@melkeeling Cujo was the same color as Makika. Even the noses match in color. Take good care of her.

@WookhieManJoe Chows are susceptible to heat stroke. So. If you live in a climate where it is pretty hot during the summers. You should provide them a cool place to be if they are kept out doors. If they are a indoor dog as mine was. Going outside for very short periods of time during the day time is my recommendation. Always provide water even if out for a short time. When the temps drop @ night. Extended periods of time outdoors is great.
My chow was almost 13.5 years old when he passed.

but i have a Golden Labrador and hes twice the age and still pretty energetic? i give them both the same care ?

Chows are a very intelligent breed. My chow chow potty trained real quick. Would sit, shake, lay down. I would hand feed him dog food which was like treats to him when I did that. I would put food in my hand behind my back and have him "paw the hand" with the food in it. Great at catching treats. I would get a laser point out and he would case it all over. biting and stomping on the little dot on the floor. He even knew what "where's the laser" meant. I really miss him. R.I.P. Cujo. 7-8-11 :(

you are by far the worst dog owner i have seen. sugar is terrible for dogs and its not a good training technique for your dog to eat people food. that way they get used to it. also saying sit once is a good idea. hahaha

As thats what bad dog owners do. Ice cream ONCE is not going to hurt a dog. I think your comment reiterated above is by far the most ridiculous accusation I have ever heard....

@MrLizzyclaire As he is MY dog.... I can do what ever I want.... Its not like ice cream is a daily event.... in fact I cant recall him ever having any since.... get a life!
