HBK classless?! BS! Not only is HBK possibly the greatest WWE superstar of all time, he is a class act. Yes he was cocky and did have a "ego" during this time, but he stayed true to his roots. When more than a few big names left for WCW, he never did. He wrestled hurt and in pain for years, for the fans. Now Hitman on the other hand, although one of the best was a classless, whiney bitch. AFTER signing with WCW, he refuses to drop the belt to Shawn in Canada. He deserved what he got in Montreal!

if anyone didnt know that shawn was gonna win the belt in this they must have been an idiot. shawn had his shot the year before, but his year it was his boyhood dream. shawns ego at this point was out of control. bret put shawn over in this match and shawn refused to return the favor. instead he comes up with BS to just drop the belt. that is why shawn was a terrible champion. pretty classless to no even acknowledge bret in the ring. however, awesome match between the best 2 guys ever

He also wouldn't shake Shawns hand after the match in the locker room, and spent most of Shawns title reign trashing not only Shawn but Shawns paretns in the dirt sheets and Calgary newspapers. Then Bret writes a book about how most of their problems are Shawns fault. Maybe you should look in the mirror sometime Hitman.

This wasnt gonna be a WM6 ending. These 2 didnt like eachother. Shawn wanted Bret out of the ring before being awarded the WWE title. That wasn't right.

@mrfamilyguy36 I believe, if I'm correct, Bret said something on the lines of, "I don't think this guy is ready for the belt. He isn't someone I feel that needs to be put over by me." I know Bret had said that he was disgusted with Shawn's "pretty boy" look.
