regardless of how well the serrations are and how finely they slice, they still rip more than a plain edge and that is why it is more suitable for a self defense knife

"Those who know nothing quickly tell it."
Calimero, you are a moronic tit. This knife is quite possibly the ultimate in self defense. Remove your euro-head from your euro-ass, research the knife, and maybe (but doubtful) you won't sound like such a fool next time.
Google it, read and learn. this knife is designed to quite possibly save your life.
Here in the USA, it's better to be tried by 12 than carried by 6. Don't be a professional victim...

@Ghost1321 keep in mind as well the stiletto has worked many many times as both and offensive and defensive weapon its been featured in anything from news articles to movies because of its success, now this thing i havent heard a single use with it, criminal or civilian, the website also makes a desperate attempt at some far fetched story about the CIA or some kind of law enforcement using it strictly, where there is no proof it is even issued to any gov agency
-
@Ghost1321 do you have a video cut test of that at all? because the spyderco fully serrated knives my buddies have all get hung up on denim and other dense materials, they have to really force it, where as a straight blade thats pointed with no serrations will go in and out quicker, keep in mind this is all theory i dont know of anyone whos got the balls to use their expensive spydercos on someone
-
@Taud Actually, serrations cut quite well through fibrous materials, better than a plain edge if both are equally sharp and made by a reputable knife manufacturer.
It's personal preference, but I would much prefer the Spyderco Civilian over a stiletto knife. Stilettos are very good for stabbing, but not slashing. To stab you need to get very close to your attacker, where as to slash you can have your body away from the attacker and slash from a distance.
-
@Ghost1321 it might get caught and hung up on the serrations rather than rip through and u might get fucked, i would take a straight pointed stiletto for self defense over this thing it looks like a fuckin batarang from a batman gadget belt
-
@darrex00 i dont know about that... the knife would get caught or hung up on the persons clothes and youd be stuck struggling it would seem, thats more of a pocket saw,law enforcement doesnt even use it like the website claims....
-
Caution this knife is trash for everything except being used as a SAW, id also like to add, i dont know a single military/law enforcement member that uses one or recommends it, nice little story they made up on the website tho ahahaha
-
nice knife, but i prefer matriarch, lighter and shorter...i carry garra 2 for edc self defence knife,is better in my hand and very fast to deploy.and no more expansive....
-
i don't get why the superhawk's been discontinued.
serrated blade is a drag, plain is way better

But for the defence the serrated is the best.

@Pierre8907
It's good too, but this was designed to do maximum damage, from those who can not usually, use the knife.
