Classic British comedy from 1953 about two couples adventures at the London to Brighton Commemorative Run. Ambrose finally arrives at the finish line with his latest girlfriend Rosalind and her St Bernard's Suzy, while his married friends Alan and Wendy are still broken down on a country rode. In a desperate bid to finish the run, Alan mends his beloved 1905 motor car, Genevieve.

  • As an ex-trumpet player the trumpet bit is silly because Kay is pressing all the wrong valves - the idea that Kendall could play like that, especially after stopping at 16 is impossible But the solo itself is the wonderful work of that genius Kenny Baker! I have only just learnt that Kay Kendall died at 32!
