JHud was amazing in this (as usual) so the comparisons to Aretha are pointless. JHud is not trying to be Aretha just like Aretha wasn't trying to be Clara Ward. Influences are influences. So yeah she may have some Aretha-ish tendencies, but we all stand on the backs of others - even the Queen of Soul.

People really need to stop trying to discredit her with these pointless comparisons.

Some people now a days do not want to hear REAL singing, this is as real as its going to get and this girl is Blessed so let all of the haters keep talking that is a reason she is doing more than she would have expected.

She is a great singer. Her octaves are amazing but if she would learn to control her voice when she comes off of those high notes she'd be good. She does a lot of screaming but screamin isn't singing. She doesn't know who she is yet as an artist. She's pulling from Aretha, Whitney, and etc but she's not creating her own voice and gaining awareness of her voice and she also doesn't know which notes to stay away from.
