I was tooling around on the web and found the site http://blueguitar.org

The site had several AWESOME sample files and one of them was called 'Stormy Moonday'
(Pretty sure it's actually supposed to be Stormy Monday)

I just had to jam to it, so I grabbed my key of 'C' Hohner Special 20 and just started honkin' on Bobo with my recently rewired, customized UDM 326 Dynamic Mic, and used amp software to add a little distortion and digital delay.

Cheers!

  • That was really good. Impressive, most impressive.

  • But I am not a Jedi yet...

  • Thanks! Coming from you that's high praise..

  • The slight muffling is actually me just taking a little gain off the top end frequencies to make my foreground harp playing blend a little better with the background track.

The camera mic tends to pick up foreground first, so the harp licks were standing out too much.

I already stepped on the guitar bits way too much as it was...

(Unavoidable, since they didn't exactly leave spots for a harpmonicist!)

  • That IS spooky.... tis the slight muffled and echo. Well done! 5 stars from mr.

  • If anybody asks me for a tab on this one I just may implode.

I can barely tab "Oh Susannah" without averting brain aneurysm!

    I'm strictly a fly-by-the-seat-of-my-pants sorta player.

  • Enjoyed your playing! Being a fellow "fly-by-the-seat-of-my-pants" style guitar player I can hear the feeling in your playing. Well done!

  • Spooky? I guess the background music IS just a little haunting, isn't it?

I'm just following along with the groove.

I hope your trip to Italy help you center yourself.

I still haven't travelled since my father's passing, and I think it's well overdue.

(Too bad it's not in the cards in the immediate future)

  • Woooah, spooky and freaking cool
