  • When MY 1971 Fightmaster got serviced a few years back by the authorised UK servicing agent, it came back with two Omega winders on the 24-hour hand and bezel, and plain pushers on the stop-watch. I called them up to ask where my coloured winders/pushers were, and they denied all knowledge of them ever being there. A number of letters followed, but were ignored.

  • @tacfoley That's a bummer. Sorry to hear that. You may be able to find NOS pushers on ebay for around $100 for the set if you'd like to replace them.

  • hey nikudes nice review.. I have this exact watch sitting in a drawer that my grandfather owned.. it is in bad need or repair/service.. any advice on where to go/ what to look for in a shop doing service... I have gotten quotes all over the place from $500 to $2000 ...from 5 different stores.. thanks much! oh btw I looked on the omega site and there is no "authorized" repair shop in colorado...

  • @querciagrande When I had mine serviced, I sent it directly to Omega in Switzerland. That was in 2004 and it cost about $665 dollars. They replaced the hands, dial, brushed the case (the bevels were a little off), and serviced the movement. All in all, I was very happy with the results. The watch looks like new but still vintage because I had them leave the old pushers and crowns in it.

  • @nikudes If you'd like to keep the original crowns and pushers, let them know. At the time they didn't repaint the colored pushers, just replaced them with non-colored new ones, which looked too modern to me. So I sent it back and had them reinstall the old crowns and pushers.

  • Great watch, nevre seen this Omega before.May not be as accurate as one of those new seikos or citizens, but much more stylish. Very good review by the way.

  • Thanks. Glad you liked.

  • my dad got this from the uk for $800

  • Found two in Luxembourg and two in Australai - the yare being fitted as I write this.

    Over $200, though...

  • @BrandonZord I saw a freshly serviced one go on ebay for just over $2100. Asking prices in jewelry stores seem to be around the $4000 mark. If yours is in need of a service and a band, my guess would be $900 to $1200. That's estimating $750 for a service and $300 for a band. If it needs anything more than a routine service, you'd have to deduct the extra work to get an accurate estimate.

  • I have one of these watches as well that belonged to my father. It also needs a repair. And it doesn't have the original band. I'd rather just sell it to someone who would repair it and enjoy it. Any idea of how much it would be worth?

  • @querciagrande Thanks nick I guess going to the source is the best option..:) thanks for the info
