Newspaper report:
Zeppelin Record -- Led Zeppelin, well on their way to the most successful rock tour in history, showed once again that they are the most popular group since the Beatles. In Dallas May 18, Led Zeppelin drew 10,000 fans to Memorial Hall and then came back the very next night with a standing-room-only concert in Ft. Worth that drew 13,500. With back-to-back dates in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area, Led Zeppelin has set yet another record by selling out both arenas on successive nights. (May 1973)
My first big-time rock show. Do I count Herman's Hermits and Steppenwolf? I remember that the crowd was pretty mellow until Stairway To Heaven...then the place erupted. If I hadn't already memorized every second of Deep Purple's MachineHead 8-track, Led Zep could easily have been #1 instead of #2 for me. Rock on!
This was my very first concert. I was a month shy of turning 13. I think the most amazing thing was that our parents were cool enough to let us little rock children go out on our own to experience what was one of the greatest shows I've ever seen.
If I'm not mistaken we actually "mailed" as in with a stamp, our ticket requests. Times certainly have changed.
Another great sounding show. The whole band sounds strong with some immense drumming from Bonham. Robert screeches and sounds strong and Jimmy and Jonesy steamroll through the set. Another shame the rest of the gig isn't available. During Black Dog the audience semmed to be quite dull so Plant commenting that: "What happened to you on the Ah! - Ah!? You were jerking off. What happened?" Also monitor problems truncated Since I've Been Loving You.

That is the most emotion I have ever seen Plant put into that finale passage.
