I saw an electric fence like that a couple years ago down in the NJCF Dorothy Preserve, and vandals had destroyed it. It was there to protect young cedar trees, the same as that one. Thanks for this video.

A key aspect of bushcraft is respect for nature and understanding our role in it. A true woodsman knows that he is a part of his environment just like a true hunter identifies with and respects his quarry. The Native Americans revered the animals they killed and conserved the resources they relied upon for survival. We didn't learn from them but chose to destroy them and their ways instead.

You are soo right, I've learned a lot from those who came before us ( native peoples). I wish we could learn more and finally get things right. I'm ready to try.

Right On Kamo!! here in Newfoundland we used to have immense pine forests, but over harvesting has all but wiped them out. I often wonder what it would have been like to see these white pine and what difference the forest would be. ED

Thanks Ed,
I hope you know that I have great respect for you and the job that you have. I hope that I can help in some way also to preserve our natural habitats and help others to understand how important this is.
Peace,
