This is the best version on YouTube. Everyone else who sang this are either overly emoted or are overly animated in their performance. They come across as fake and irritating! Sometimes the lyrics and the tune should be allowed to be the star. Like Allison here, with just her amazing voice and only a guitar and without making it look like she is trying too hard. She sounds amazing singing this song with just the right amount of sadness and the folksy quality in her voice. Excellent! Brava!

A few big corporations own the airwaves and it's hard to breakin. Haven't you ever noticed how there are so many stations that just play 30 year old rock? Plus I think that it's hard for new entertainers to sell their music because of pirating.

She IS VERY SUCCESSFUL, maybe not in terms of radio (they only play about 10 songs) but in touring, every venue she plays is packed out.

Why doesn't this wonderful singer have greater success in the UK? Are we over-obsessed with "soul" singers? This lady could sing menu from the local Chinese carryout and make it sound beautiful.
