I show how to repair a stripped strap button on a guitar. It's an easy fix and will last a long time.

  • The best way to do this is grab a tooth pick and some wood glue. Put your wood glue in first to the top. Put your tooth pick into the hole and break it in half then, put the other half of the toothpick in. SLIGHTLY (2 hits maximum) hammer the tooth picks in and break them off. While the glue is wet take a SCREW DRIVER and screw your strap button into place. Let that dry and you're good to go, fixed tons of guitars that way.

  • just keep buying bigger screws till you get to bolts..then give up and sell it.;-)

  • @leachim6 Yes, I would do it the same on an acoustic guitar.

  • Would you do this any different on an acoustic guitar?

    The bottom button came out on mine, but I feel like the same method would work since the strap peg goes into a block of wood in the bottom of the acoustic
