  • oh dear, need to decrease the weights. Btw, hows your progress now. Just curious?

  • @bigbigboy16 Well unfortunately I haven't been able to spend as much time working out as I'd like to due to work. It was one of my New Years Resolutions to exercise more, though. Last month I worked out about eight times at the gym and most of it was minimal cardiovascular training on the treadmill on the way home from work late at night. When I stop by the gym after work I usually just do 15 minutes on the treadmill now. It was nice out yesterday so I did two miles on my Schwinn.

  • @bigbigboy16 I'm also on a mini-diet. I weigh approximately 196lbs and I'm about 5'10 1/2". I'm trying to get my weight down to 190lbs and gain more muscle. I think the way that I'm going to be able to accomplish that is by working out more at home. It's been very difficult for me to work out at the gym lately because I'm usually physically beat from work. I only seem to have the energy for fifteen minutes on the treadmill and that's it.

  • @bigbigboy16 I tell you what though, it was a really nice day out yesterday. It was about 40 degrees out and sunny, so I went outside and did some dumbbell sets and I got a really good workout in finishing up with some cycling. I seem to get the best workouts in at home with a set of dumbbells, free weights, and cycling.

  • Nothing wrong with strength training as long as you alternate it with hypertrophy training. One builds strength whilst the other builds size.

Strength training however works far better with compound exercises opposed to isolation exercises such as preacher curls. Weighted close grip chins would be a better way of recruiting more motor units which in essence is how you build strength.

  • Hey great form, was that a full body workout

  • ahha terrable form...unless ur trying to build strengh, over form/tone then great, but your just flatting the muscles down like a pancake!

  • You do realize that you don't have to go super heavy to gain muscle right? You youngsters make me laugh. You kids see the roid boys in the magazines and are fooled into believing that's the way it's done...The guys in the magazines lifting the heavy poundages are all on the juice you dumbass kids!!!! LOL!!!!

  • I keep track of progress in a journal but I also like to share my videos on the internet so that people can comment on them. I like it when people critique form, offer suggestions, exercises, etc. I also like to upload it to keep track of progress that I can access anywhere.

  • @matthewjdenn good freakin job buddy but what do u mean by keepin track of progress if u wanna do that why donchu jus upload into ur computer ? why du upload it to utube and showing it to the whole world?
