If you wanna properly name the cartridge its technically a .51 caliber or .50 BMG. If you don't believe me look it up.

Oh, nvm dude. You're right, it does generate less muzzle energy than the mighty .50, but the .50's all have muzzle brakes. That unfortunately is not an option on this beast...:P

The most powerful rifle cartridge made is the .950 JDJ made by SSK industries. The cartridge is made by taking a 20mm vulcan and necking it up to accept .950 caliber bullets. The results of doing this makes it able to shoot 3600 grain bullets at 2200 fps, generating a tad over 39,000 ft/lbs of energy.
The rifles also have to be over 100 lbs in order to make it bearable to shoot
