Bruno begins his career as a Dj in an Electro pub, while following the courses in a music academy, option Electro-accoustics and discovers the synths and the theory of sound on a Oberhein X-pander (photo page 2).

A love story was born. Several group projects follow such as KORSAKOFF or S.F.C and Hip Hop projects with LACRO (L4K), ESKA or Dj DIAS. Then at a private party he meets Fred d'ANTICORE who offers hime the chance to make a vinyl, and it's the first MEM PAMAL record.

A modular synthesiser is one in which the different elements: VCO, VCF, VCA, etc. are entirely independent modules. These modules can be freely interconnected, Allowingaa great creativity in the sound design. The combination of the signals generated by several modules into an audio exit allows a theoretically infinate number of configuratons, and thus an infinate number of sounds.

The first commercial modular synthesizers were developed in parallel by RA Moog Co. and Buchla in 1963. Both Robert Moog and Don Buchla knew about a text written be the German Harald Bode in 1961 describing the possibility of generating sounds using transistors. Bode had also developed an oscillator in 1960. The synthesizer widens the spectrum and makes the creation of electronic music easier. Previously, electronic music was composed by recoding and mixing on tape, by using primitive electronic and electromecanic instruments like the Theremin and the Martenot waves or with the help of electronic generators which were impossible to interconnect.

After Moog, Buchla and Ketoff, new makers entered the field. First in the USA (ARP, Serge) and in Europe (EMS), later in Japan (Roland, Korg, Yamaha). In 1976, the Japanese company Roland produced the 700 system. In the mid 1970's, electronic kits sold by mail order by Paia Electronics offered a second route, that of the DIY, to make modular synthesizers. Many small series were produced, for example on the advice of magazines such as Elektor, of electronic stores (e.g. The UK company Maplin) or clubs of electroaccoustic fans (A.C.M.E.in Belgium).

MEMPAMAL played in different gigs and met some more people: Philip (MARS ASSAULT) with whom he had just recorded a vinyl and who made him meet Chris of TOOLBOX, a Paris distributor with whom he founded FANTOMATIK RECORDS, his future label. He also went to London to masterise the recordings of his personal productions, PORCKIS and ALCHIMI, a professional recording studio well known in the British electro and drum'n bass scene.

Later he met Yann of OZORE AGE, a Paris label, which will record a vinyl for him and his first studio album (longueur d'ondes), which will be ditributed by PIAS (FNAC).
Very positive interviews and press articles followed (TRACKS, CODA, GRAFITI ...).

Important dates followed : he recorded live and vinyl with people such as BOUCLES ETRANGES (U 238 01). His compositions were included on CD compilations. A TV advert spot will be transmitted on a major national channel for several months for the launch of a compilation of VIRGIN.
MEM PAMAL played in FESTIVALS, SHOW CASES, CONCERTS, PUBS, CLUBS, BARS and even in unusual places like the Marseille flea market in 2001 or the St Etienne design exhibition in 2004 on a solar energy sound system MADE IN SWITZERLAND.

Sound track of the film by YANN RICHET : CZECH TRAVELLER with the piece THESSALONIKI.

A collaboration with the French singer and flute player from Lyon LAURENCE MOLLETA gave rise to a piece entitled "we'r living in a giant spiral" on the ELEKTRIC (2006) album produced by OZORE AGE.

"CYCLOPTIK" was an experimental project with the contemporary artist JORIS SULIVAN known for his university conferences on the influence of images and video in a small Lyon theater for a temporary visual and auditory installation . Release of a DVD in November 2007 (distributed by PIAS).

MEM PAMAL has played in all the «artistic capitals» of Europe and in all major French cities on prestigious stages. http://www.fantomatik.org/ gets 400 to 600 visits per week and over 360 000 hits were recorded on Myspace; Facebook gets more than 300 requests per week and numerous other blogs and websites do well. Over 52 Vinyls, 17 live CD's, 3 DVD's, 3 Studio Albums have been produced in the past 17 years of existence.

Having a passion for synthesizers, he has evolved to a hybrid music which is 100% analog.
Producer, performer, and a reference of the electro underground, he is a high-powered and hybrid ACID Electro.
