Had some fun testing the Neslab CFT-33 water chiller I removed from the big medical laser. The water block used is a Swiftech Apogee. My CPU is an AMD Athlon64 X2 6000+ (120W TDP) and this chiller didn't even break a sweat maintaining the water at 0'C.

  • why not just get a ocz phase change? It's about $300 and you can go below 50*c

  • @MegaDeathwarrant I got the chiller out of a unit I paid $22 for on ebay.

  • whats the cost to run the fridge cooler

  • @Liquadia about $0.75 per day if the compressor runs continuously. It would be significantly less though since I don't run my computer all day and the compressor doesn't need to run all the time to cool my PC

  • how did you not condense all over the place.... especially on your lines

  • Humidity in the dorm was low, it did eventually start condensing a bit and I turned the temperature up
