In the limited space available and the prevalent lack of form in this site, you'll excuse me if I get to the point by perpetrating the intellectual sin of generalization.
You're making an assumption of your own, that right-left big government systems are fundamentally different, I tend to see them as complementary, and would even propose that we have corporatist fascism nationally while, simultaneously, total laissez faire capitalism internationally upon third world migrants or financiers.

First of all you're assuming that Obama and his administration are Marxists which is absolutely untrue. Fascists? Perhaps. Marxists? No. There's quite a big difference. Second of all you're assuming that if you're not a Marxist you're a free representative democracy which again is absolutely untrue. You seem to have painted a very black and white view of reality.

The dept of defense budget is 750billion per year.
O just gave Israel 30billion, & now he wants USA citizens to give up private healthcare because he overspent?
Fascism = a system of government whereby citizens relinquish our Rights for the greater good of society in favor of bureaucracy & corporatism. as I remember from college government class, like rule by the monopolies= Federal Reserve Bernanke & Pentagon Bob Gates..

I agree with the things you have to say I just hope you realize these evils are not exclusive to the democratic party by any means. Oh and please people stop tossing Karl Marx's name around whenever you want to denounce something as evil or "un-American". To this day we've never seen a real communist nation, the only communists we've seen have been Stalinists.

Don't forget the Medicare and Social Security IOUs that are kept in a different set of books... now THOSE are the real problem. You think 100% of debt on our GDP, meaning $14 trillion is bad? The total unpaid legacy benefits are about $54 trillion, and $87 trillion with interest rates!
We are not the "richest, most powerful nation in the world" as much as the most highly mortgaged, leveraged and indebted nation in the world... hell, we owe money to Mexico, did you know that!?

When will these f'in politicians stop the scare tactics to get things passed? We will go bankrupt....just more BS. Barry meant to say is....we need healthcare passed so we can STOP "unnecessary" costs...which means that the govt not the doctor will decide the treatment you get. You don't have to read that many pages of the healthcare bill to know this as fact. I'm happy with my healthcare...and OH YEAH, the cost of my premiums went DOWN this year. Stay out of my healthcare, Barry.
