"(I Don't Stand) A Ghost of a Chance (With You)" was composed in 1932 with music by Victor Young and lyrics by Ned Washington and Bing Crosby. Bing recorded the song the year it was published, and forty-five years later in October of 1967, Jo Stafford, herself a veteran of the big-band era, made a recording of it demonstrating what a fine voice she still had after all the years.
If only you guys and gals knew. I have been listening to her and the rest since the early 1940's. Listen to her sing Teach Me Tonight. Jo is a family favorite, going back a very long way.

Wonderful song and recording.......fantastic song writing....but so of that era...I love it....and for me the song still stands up today....but sadly is of it's type.
Not enough melody in so many songs these days..repetition of lyrics....but that's the music industry....Thanks for sending....regards....Dave

@madlovescats2 I love the old stuff. The time was sweeter and sincerity and romance was real.
