Norwegian Wood - Book Trailer

Book trailer for Haruki Murakami's novel: Norwegian Wood. This was a project where no live-action was permitted.
I tried to convey the surreal and dream-like atmosphere present in much of the book through a soundscape I made using my MPC and Logic.

i simply love the way Murakami unravels the characters and weaves their detached and estranged lives, into one almost melodic flow of concious.

It made the great novel sounding like some cheap Japanese horror movie to me

this is a good work, but for some reason the atmosphere the video convey do not remind me at all of the novel.

Norwegian Wood to me it seems all but surreal. a little oniric perhaps, but quite grounded.

it's the only murakami novel i've read so i dunno much of the author. it sort of reminded me italian author De Carlo, but Murakami's book is better.

and yes, Midori rocks!

I saw this on a search for the Beatles song of the same name. Looks pretty interesting. I'm definitely putting this book on my "Read This" list.

nice sound, however, I'm not sure I agree with "surreal and dream-like atmosphere present in much of the book ", in fact, I think this is Murakamis only 'realistic' book. there's no strange alternate dimension or anything like that
