I found quite a few coins yesterday in Richmond park, including a really nice half penny from 1937 and an old-style 10p from 1973, which is in horrible condition.

What fun, I would like one of these. Hope many more great finds to you.

Hello from The US. I enjoyed the video, but could you do something with the drawstring on your jacket? Major distraction. Good hunt though, we don't have the history that you guys have.

Really enjoy watching your videos, waiting for my detector to arrive and i will be out hunting, hope to find some cool finds like yours in sunny wales.

people had more pennies, they were lost easier because they were brown, and people looked harder to find silver coins if they drop them because they had more value .

hi, good first vid and a nice stat to detecting, i started last year. i use a whites xlt tho.
i do have an ace 250 that i let my friends use when i take them out, do you use the normal coin settings or do you customise them?
Great everything especially your presentation. Looking forward to more. Do you have a handheld pinpointer?

Thanks! I'm getting Sony Vegas software delivered on Monday so I will have even more and better videos to show!
I don't have a hand held pin pointer as I thinks they are a waste of money and I seem to find coins easily enough without one. It would also just be something else to carry around with me to lose or break. Knowing me i'll prob still get one though hehe

The place I search is where they usually hold the annual village fate / charity fate. I believe they have been doing it there for over 100 years

Well done on your first video, I am local to you and also use a Garrett 250. Oldest coin so far is an 1841 bronze penny. Video to come soon.
You didnt tell us what the heavier coinlike object was ?.... is it roman ?
