http://www.countrysideinternational.com Allen Jackson provides us with a brief history lesson about the meteoric growth of Orlando Florida from its Orange grove origins and building of the Interstate 4 to the consequential opening of Walt Disney World.

The Central Florida expansion continued to a level that saw property buyers from all over the world flocking to the region and this created a housing explosion that reached dizzy heights at the later part of 2005.

Florida Countryside real estate broker and Easy rider Allen Jackson takes us for a spin on his motor bike and later exchange this for a more adventurous "snappy ride, on an alligator!"

  • You called me "Dude" first. I think that's kind of rude. Asking me "what I'm on about" is also rude. So, was your overall tone. You are the one who's rude, not me. And it was an inferior quality video about Orlando. We are not just theme parks and lakefront homes with alligators in the yards.

  • Well it seems pretty obvious as to what I'm "on

about", "DUDE". The video showed nothing of the area but Disney World, alligators and a few lakefront mansions that most people couldn't afford anyway. Showed nothing else that the area has to offer. No downtown, no Winter Park, no UCF no nothing. Quit being an idiot and STFU.

  • @SoldierCyfix Yes, there are a lot of gators, but you don't usually see them running around the streets. If you live on a lake, you may occasionally see one's head on the water or maybe even up on the bank or even in yards & carports. People who live on lakefront property have to closely watch their pets as they have been known to get eaten. Although a lot of people do, I would NEVER swim or ski in any lake around here. And yes, gator tail is good to eat. Like white chicken meat.

  • @jfw657 now dude that sounds awesome, but seriously, i am moving to orlando soon and i was wondering if you guys really have as much gators as i am hearing about. i know there are a lot of lakes in the orange county area but are all the lakes inhabited by big reptiles?

I am from LA so i never see anything as exotic as that, also ... do you guys eat the gators, are they safe to eat?

  • We are not in a building boom.. However, sitting with the gators was reckless. And I said a few OMGs

  • anyone notice how the map said "disneyland", not "disneyworld"? wrooong. lol

  • Oh you mean Crime Hills? Meh -- every city has it's trouble spots. So does O-town.

  • Way to go... I used to live right down the street from Orlando (been there all my life) and I can't tell you how many times I've been at the theme parks. Great place to live, if you've got a little extra cash to spend at the end of the month.

  • Personally, I like hanging out at Cranes Roost Park, right next to the Altamonte Mall. Great place to chill out, walk around and feed the ducks and turtles.

  • Not Ocala -- Leesburg here.

  • I'm from south(east) florida and I was wondering what else there is to do up there besides the theme parks..?

  • Native Orlando guy here. This showed some stuff, but there is SO much more to do and see. Oh, and jfw657 is right. Rollins and Winter Park need to be seen as well. Go Tars!!
