  • @doulasc One of those trains was the Royal Palm, on the former Southern Railway. It ran from Cincinnati to Miami. In Jacksonville, the end of the Southern line, Florida East Coast engines picked up the train and took it the rest of the way to Miami.

At least CUT was saved, and appears to be working. Jacksonville Terminal was saved, too, but has been a flop as a convention center.

  • In its hey day CUT had 130 trains a day.Now it serves only Amtrak Cardinal 3 times a week.
