Dix Bruce talks about Mel Bay's "Rhythm Guitar Chord System" which teaches an all-encompassing system of chording on the guitar. You'll learn ALL the jazz and swing chords you'll ever need: majors, minors, sevenths, major sevenths, minor sevenths, diminished, augmented, ninths, thirteens, and more, most with four different positions/inversions on the guitar fingerboard.

  • It's a Gibson L-7.

  • Yo! I agree 1000%! The main thing is to get that system in your head and you can figure out all the other chords from what you already know. Cheer, Dix

  • whats guitar are you playing?

  • I bought this book at your recommendation a couple of years ago and have been referring to it ever since. It is a great roadmap to the fretboard and a super book for learning swing chords. Thanks Dix for the video newsletter. Well done!

  • This really is a great book. I bought it after you mentioned it in your swing guitar video and it's definitely my new favorite guitar book (even if I'm only as far as the 7b5s)
