Today I asked people walking in the neighborhood if they knew the exact location where Suzanne Jovin was found. One couple taking an afternoon walk told me they lived a few houses down East Rock Rd. and had been home the night of the murder. They were questioned by the police that evening and had seen the sheet covered body. They were both positive that this was the exact spot, next to this tree on the side of the big brick house. I also talked to the people that lived in the spanish colonial style house directly across the street. Although they moved in after the crime they confirmed that this was the precise spot they had always heard was the right one. I told them that according to a Vanity Fair article posted online one of the best potential witnesses (who had actually seen and heard nothing) was a Mrs. Oxley who lived directly across the street from the crime scene. They confirmed that their house had previously been owned by the Oxleys. One more local resident walking his dog also pointed to this spot and said that's where he had been told the body was found. At one point, however, an elderly man came out of the brick house and noticed me filming as he was walking to his car in the front driveway on Edgehill Rd. I told him what I was doing and he told me I had the wrong spot. I asked him if he could tell me the right spot but he and an elderly woman got in their car and drove off without answering. Maybe he was ignoring me or maybe he just didn't hear me, I don't know. If I find out more info I'll post it here...

  • Today was the ninth year anniversary of the murder. I went to the crime scene tonight at around 10:00, roughly when the crime occurred, expecting to find a vigil and was suprised no-one was there...

  • I remember that night like it was yesterday. I was working at the Columbus House Shelter and was walking home that night. I lived in the enjoining neighborhood at the time. so I had to walk down whitney ,then up that hill, because it was the safest way to walk as opposed to walking down dixwell ave. that time of night. I wish to God I never went that way ,I am haunted every other day. I wish I could have been there sooner maybe I could have stopped this monster. I didn't know her wish i did

  • may i ask what happend to her and who did this to her

  • oh my, so she was found on East Rock Rd.towards Whitney Ave.? South of St.Ronan

  • This is the correct spot from what I remember. Suzanne: You are still missed and thought of every day.
