Triadisch Ballet

Video about triadic Ballet by Oskar Schlemmer. No offense at him but WE thought it was kind of weird. I'm sorry if all you Schlemmerfans are offended by this, but it really wasn't quite our taste and thus WE thought it was a bit psychotic (music and all..^^) I'm sorry if we don't agree.

... het spijt me, maar die kinderachtige reactie is zo typisch vrouwelijk en 'Hollands'. Meestal zitten er zo'n aantal bakvissen in elke hedendaagse voorstelling te grienen omdat ze iets zien dat ze niet kunnen plaatsen, zo onzeker worden dat ze dan maar onder elkaar giechelen. Ok het is niet vanzelfsprekend het Triadische ballet... maar experiment is de sleutel tot vooruitgang en het ontvluchten van de miezerige doorzonwoning met plastiekrozen !-)

There's a distinction between "laughing at" and "laughing with." Schlemmer was barred from teaching because the Nazis called his art degenerate. He spent his final years working at a paint factory and had to make art in secret—tiny paintings that would not be noticed. He lived in fear—real fear. People were being taken from their homes, stripped of everything they had, imprisoned, shot, gassed and thrown into mass graves like garbage. The deriding of Schlemmer's art plays into this history.

Regarding the taste of the laughing people who shot and posted this: The Nazis didn't understand this either. That's why Schlemmer was dismissed from the Bauhaus School and also why the school was the first thing the Reich shut down when they seized power in Berlin.
