Not true. GM & Ford are not as good as Asian cars anymore. And for Korean cars, they now own 7.3% surpassing Nissan at 6th place. They're projected to over take Chrysler at 5th place with 9.8%. Honda is at 4th with 11%. Hyundai &Kia has been growing at a rate of 10% a month with excellence in design, quality, satisfaction, warrenty, and lowest recall rate, etc. They are now looking to take on high end Japanese and European cars. And yes, US car makers have been producing shitty cars
