Manitou Springs, Colorado Penny Arcade

While on vacation (or holiday, if you please), we stayed near this awesome arcade. I'm not sure if the place is actually called the "Penny Arcade" as only one room actually bears that sign.

This place is heaven. I haven't seen this many arcade cabs in one location since the mid 90s. Everything is surprisingly well maintained, even the machines that are exposed to the elements. The majority of the cabs are original. Even the Confidential Mission cab was equipped with the original "Stunners".

On the day I filmed the initial clip showing our hotel, all of the cabs were up and running. Unfortunately only the room my wife was playing Galaga in was up and running when we had time to play the next day. There was a snowstorm and that may be the reason the cabs outside were off.

I watched Techromancer1's several part series on Star Worlds. I really hope to visit your arcade some day. I cannot thank you enough for what you are preserving. Bravo! Maybe some day I will have the time and the dedication to join your ranks.

just visited this arcade yesterday. luckily it was 60 degrees outside so they turned on the outdoors games. I spent $8 and played games constantly for 6 hours.

everybody in Denver should check out the The 1up barcade too. I like their selection of classic games better.

Wow! this is about an hour and 30 minute drive from where I live.

Wonder why you would keep arcade machines outside?? They should also make it more dark inside.
