He 's just the most overrated scientist ever. Ferraris had already invented AC motors, his wireless technology just a rough capacitive coupling. Obscures scientist should deserve more attention than him.
If someone is realy interesting (technicaly) in Tesla's invention, my thoughts can be found on: "Nikola Tesla and My Thoughts" (google it) and it has lot of interesting ideas like Tesla's combustion engine, Energy of space, Flying machine, Magnetic linear movement, Plasma on aluminum in water, Quantization of gravitation, Tesla's energy transmitter, Tesla's style windmill and other interesting stuff.
@ Keruaran. I agree. We should spread the credit around more. The Transformer was developed, in the form used in todays a/c systems, by William Stanley. The Transformer is what allows long distance low-loss transmission, by stepping up voltage and stepping down current. It is a vital part of the system. In fact William Stanley built the first complete a/c system, at Great Barrington, Massachusetts, but he is harldy ever credited.
