  • So I was in a similar situation as you and purchased a Denon 3312 as a connected device. And, while it sounded just fine with my M&K speaker setup - there was certainly a step up in sound quality when I added a dedicated amp. I think even an inexpensive Adcom, Outlaw Audio, or Emotiva amp would really make those speakers sing. The other nice thing about amps - they aren't subject to going 'out-of-date' nearly as quickly as recievers/preamps are. Craigslist is a good place to watch for deals.

  • @middlecem Thanks for the comment. I'm still mulling the extra amp over. When you installed the amp was it just a matter of being louder or was the sound somehow more full?

  • @C815richard p.s. if you ever consider a new receiver i would pair the B&W's with a Classe or Rotel avr : )

  • awesome video! love seeing an in depth look at home theaters. question why do you keep the grills on? u should keep your grills off your speakers for 2 reasons first there damn good looking and second it will actually sound a little better. also what are u using to record ur videos? If your unhappy with your subwoofer you should look into Velodyne subwoofers. there well made, sound good and are accurate powerful subwoofers. they have small models too. good reviews on what hi-fi.com
