iCubes WSN Host Application Demo @ Technical Univeristy of Crete
Demo consists of 2 layers each of one has 3 nodes and also a target board who plays the role of the gateway.
The gateway receives measurements corresponding to the humidity and temperature level taken from the sensors of each layer node. As a result we are able to monitor both humidity and temperature and become aware when our plant needs to be taken care of by highliting the corresponding node number as not OK at the host application. This way we are given the chance to control our Wireless Sensor Networking garden from a pc which communicates with the target board by using serial port connection (Usb connection is still under debugging).
The Network was built by TUC undergraduate students (TEL404 Class of 2010: Alexiou Vagelis, Asteris Megasthenis, Kampianakis Lefteris, Kimionis Giannis, Markopoulos Panagiotis, Sklivanitis Giorgos, Spiliotis Konstantinos, Vlachaki Katerina) under the supervision of Dr. A. Bletsas.
