A time-lapse experience of the Los Angeles County Museum of Arts permanent collection icon Urban Light—the Chris Burden sculpture consisting of 202 vintage Southern California street lamps located at the museums Wilshire Boulevard entrance. Deemed an instant landmark by the New York Times, Urban Light has since its 2008 installation become a favorite of photographers and sightseers from around the world. Now this virtual flipbook allows you observe the interplay of light and shadow around the lamps as day progresses from sunny L.A. morning to illuminated city night, all with the sweep of a finger.
