Hitting lift in a Corolla XRS. During upload it seems the audio and video are a bit off. Please be aware of that. Yes, I started accel. at 15mph. Cam switch-over (lift) kicks in roughly 6700 rpm.

  • Im surprised... thought those corollas were slow... doesnt look too slow to me.. some bolt ons...and tuning... i suppose that thing can be pretty damn fast.

  • really? that's incredibly interesting. wrong, but interesting.

vvt-i is continuously variable and uses one set of lobes. it works for the whole band and doesn't step.

vvtl-i is vvt-i plus lift. it uses two sets of lobes and there is a point where it switches between the two (aka a step).

go ahead and flame me. don't beleive me? look it up.

  • first mofo who doesnt hit the limiter nice bro!

  • @irlyh8usernames

Actually I usually average 30-32 mpg with moderate driving habits and the occasional lift activity. I use non-ethanol fuel, so maybe that helps.

  • Youtube has issues with syncing videos with their sound depending on the videos original format..

  • @superhawkn the XRS is more like a 25mpg car is you baby it lol

  • Man these thing have Tons of potential for a 4door girly lookin car lol.. sounds very nice 2

  • @xnoodsx or just get an earlier model. i have a 2000 celica gt-s and the lift kicks in right around 6k

  • Lift I do not see it at all! Still fast for 40mpg car lol

  • wat about 140 dash

  • sound so much like a honda b series motor

  • see i like toyota. but... corolla used to be just a not so exotic fuel saving machine for church people or regular people that commute to work everyday...

putting up a good motor in it seem...well lets say oil and water dosnt mix well. they should put a hybird electric motor instead.

make a new model of a car and put it in im just sayin
