@philateliceun I'm not talking about forcing anything onto them, I'm talking about allowing them to make a free choice, and for that choice to truly be free, they have to have a basic understanding of what the outside world is like.
@philateliceun Second, I'm going to ignore how incredibly naive your refrigerator comment was and use a better example: Agenu asks if the land and oceans go on forever. Give me just one good reason why he doesn't deserve to have that answered and be shown pictures from the Hubble Space Telescope. If he genuinely wants to know what the universe he lives in is like, what right does anyone have to hide this information from him as if he's too stupid or fragile to understand it?
@philateliceun first, It's profoundly insulting to say that not providing basic human rights to these people in order to preserve their culture, this includes their rights to medicine and physical protection. It's insulting to both the notion that humans have rights and insulting to these people. If one of them is given a proper education, there's no reason they couldn't be the next Einstein. It's belittling their worth to talk as if you need to protect them from the real world.
@philateliceun If you really want to talk this out to a conclusion, I'd be happy to in a forum that isn't limited to 500 characters at a time, but for now I'll just say two things:
On the surface this seems so harsh, but what in real life is not? When you turn off the water, electricty and have to find, not buy, food, you will see who is civil.
@hobodoctor and if you tell them and they still don\t listen what then? you are going to force them to behave your way or else? You don't see the incredible arrogance of that? you sit there with all the things you could possibly need criticizing people who live a life that is 100x harder then yours who live in a world that you couldn't even begin to understand. We don't know better, let these people be, if they want to learn they will come.
You want to hear the Suruwaha's opinions on this film, look up "Suruwaha respond" on Vimeo.
