Using only Waves GTR Solo I have attempted to recreate some classic rock tones using only the Overdrive amp model and a few stomps see GuitarNoize.com for more info. Tones include Yngwie Malmsteen, Van Halen, Randy Rhoads, AC/DC and Extreme

  • @NothingSpecialMusic1 yes but it hasn't been updated for years whereas Guitar Rig and Amplitube have been regularly with better amps, effects etc.

  • dude if ya get this .email the setting for this vid if ya would.what do you think is better guitar rig 4 vs waves gtr 3

  • @bguilebguile Guitar Rig 4

  • You can't argue for that money just don't expect it to ever get updated, it's been out for a long time now (at least 2 years) without a single update.

  • Hey dude, this video is awesome! You've dialled in some amazing tones there.

Just downloaded GTR Solo and loving it. I read on your site that you're gonna do a demo of the high gain amp too - do you still plan to record & upload that? Can't wait to hear it.

    Keep up the great work!

  • @swordio777 Sorry I gave up on this software as have Waves by the looks of things

  • Nice and fluent! Kool shirt aswell!

  • @guitarnoize You say Waves gave up on this, but can I still buy this? And can I use it to record with Cubase 6? Thank you.

  • Waves GTR Solo is on sale for only $18. For that cheap you cannot go wrong.

  • @guitarnoize No need to update as it's a good basic amp sim software plugin, now selling for only $18 at Waves. Amplitube 3 (which I have) cost in the neighborhood of $300.

  • @24FRETSHARKFIN Don't bother they haven't updated the software since it was released years ago, check out my Amplitube and Guitar Rig demos instead :)
