Santa Arrives on Fire Truck (Curran Road, Cumberland)

Each year a local resident transforms his home into the north pole. On December 17, 2011 Santa arrived on a Valley Falls Fire Truck - Cumberland, RI.

Valley Falls is located in the southern part of Cumberland, Rhode Island and borders the city of Central Falls, Rhode Island,the city of Attleboro, Massachusetts, and the town of Lincoln, RI. The population was 11,599 at the 2000 census.

Warren Buffett's company Berkshire Hathaway was originally founded in 1839 by Oliver Chace in Valley Falls as a cotton manufacturing company, called the Valley Falls Company. Valley Falls is also the home of the Ann & Hope Mill.

Santa Claus, also known as Saint Nicholas, Father Christmas, Kris Kringle, and simply "Santa", is a figure with legendary, historical and folkloric aspects who, in many western cultures, is said to bring gifts to the homes of the good children during the late evening and overnight hours of Christmas Eve, December 24.[1] The modern figure was derived from the Dutch figure of Sinterklaas,[2] which, in turn, may have part of its basis in hagiographical tales concerning the historical figure of gift giver Saint Nicholas. A nearly identical story is attributed by Greek and Byzantine folklore to Basil of Caesarea. Basil's feast day on January 1 is considered the time of exchanging gifts in Greece.
