My first Elmaw, or Ed Leedskalnin Magnetic Wheel, made with 24 small horseshoe magnets glued to a plastic plate. It has a small bearing at bottom, and the disk floats on a magnetic suspension provided by 2 ring magnets, one mounted in the base, the other on the bottom of the rotating plate. Jogging and spinning a peripheral magnet can set the platter spinning, conversely spinning the plate can spin a magnet. I have only a glimmer about this device, and have not yet levitated anyting, let alone large blocks of coral. lol Aloha Oiaio

  • your turning the magnet too much jack. find the sweet spot then mark 10 degrees each side.

  • @g11690102 Have not heard of this type of sweet spot, please send info when you have time, to my email

and thanks for commenting, jack.scholze at gmail.com

  • Very nice build Jack! Do you get it to lock and hold nicely? The stator magnet's efffect is supposed to vastly change or even fall away altogether I believe. Good luck with your experiments!

  • @Cloxxki I've read a few things, but dont know what you are asking about here, please send more info, and clarified question to me, and I'll ry to answer. jack.scholze at gmail.com Ed's original wheel used 5 layers of 24 V-type magnets, the kind used in the Model T ford. The Ford only used 16 of them, and they were not mounted like Ed's setup at all. What is the odd stuff in the middle of Ed's wheel? I have no clue. Curious

  • Ed has his magnets in the REPEL mode they were stacked that way to maximize the "B" going into the earth. Your magnet at the bottom totally destroys his concept. Also you can take two magnets in the repel mode and tap on a granite rock and it will loose weight, FACT..

  • eds wheel had cement around the magnets, im assuming because of the silicates and ive heard of people putting different elements or compounds in the center of the wheel though he wouldnt really go into detail

  • Did that work for coral stone?

  • I have the explanation i will give you the info step by step free send me a message

  • :-) You forgot, the central four horseshoe magnets in the middle and I have more ideas what to do with that

  • Notice that Leedskalnin also had a cloverleaf that crossed over the bend of the v-magnets. I believe there was some significance there and they may have been magnetized (or charged PMH-style) to isolate a specific part of the field. Just a suggestion.

  • You should try playing different levels of frequencies to it playing with, with a cup of water on top....saw it in a dream

  • what year ford flywheel was it?

  • @jackscholze I've read from similar replications, that once the 24 parts are magnetically locked together (energized to lock, then holding together indefinitely after power is disconnected), the setup will appear to have fewer than 24 sets of poles. Rather 4 or so I believe. The magnetical lock cloaks the individual poles, makes the PMH one unit.
