A most impressive late-romantic prelude by Austrian composer Franz Schmidt (1874-1939).
The composer himself wrote at the beginning of this piece: "sehr frei vorzutragen (suonare a piacere)", which basically means "play it as you like". This is why every interpretation of this prelude will be quite different from the next.

  • Oh. A REALLY impressive piece...quite mighty also. Though I WOULD have wished you would have stressed the "Joy"-Part of "Hallelujah" a litte bit more, what do you think?? A little bit more joyfullness would have fitted too, imho. ;-))

  • The piece is as it is.
